Manekio ("we", "us") complies with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other applicable law in handling personal information for the services we provide, as set out below.
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services. What we collect varies by product and is described on the relevant screen or in a product-specific policy.
For Manekio for Shopify, we process order information and merchant customers' messaging identifiers on behalf of the merchant, solely for the purpose of serving that merchant.
For Manekio Doc, we process the document images you photograph and the AI-generated reading result (document type, explanation, checklist, deadline). These are used solely to generate your answer, without including your name, email, or other identifying information in the AI request. We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal obligations — for no other purpose.
We do not disclose personal data to third parties without your prior consent, except where required by law. We may entrust the handling of information to cloud providers in operating our services, and we exercise necessary and appropriate oversight of any such provider.
We take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal data we handle. Credentials and access tokens are stored encrypted.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose, or as required by law, and delete it thereafter. If a merchant ends their use of our service, that merchant's data is deleted within a reasonable period.
